The Chitwan Wildlife, Culture and Pokhara Tour is an ideal introduction to Nepal for travelers who want to experience more than the Himalayan mountains.

This carefully designed 10-day journey combines the cultural heritage of Kathmandu, the wildlife and indigenous culture of Chitwan National Park, and the natural beauty of Pokhara.

Your journey begins in Kathmandu, where you discover some of the Valley's most important historical and religious monuments. You then travel south towards Chitwan National park, entering a completely different geographical and cultural environment.

Chitwan offers an exciting contrast to the mountains of Nepal. The region is famous for its rich biodiversity, including the greater one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, deer, crocodiles and hundreds of species of birds. Depending on the season and natural conditions, visitors may also have the opportunity to observe the elusive Bengal tiger.

After Chitwan, the journey contiinue to Pokhara, one of Nepal's most beautiful destinations. Here you can enjoy magnificent Himalayan views, peaceful Phewa Lake, waterfalls, caves, temples and the relaxed atmosphere of the lakeside area.

The tour concludes with your return to Kathmandu, where you have free time for shopping, relaxation or further exploration before your international departure.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal!

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, you will have time to rest and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may upcoming journey, including transportation, accommodation, sightseeing and Chitwan activities.

 

Day 2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

Today you explore some of the cultural and religious highlights of Kathmandu Valley.

Depending on the final sightseeing program, visits may include:

Swayanbhunath Stupa

Als known as the Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath is one of the oldest Buddhist sites in Nepal. Located on a hill overhooking Kathmandu, it provides beautiful views of the valley.

Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Nepal and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. The surrounding monasteries, prayer flags and traditional shops create a unique atmosphere.

Pashupatinath Temple

Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, Pashupatinath is Nepal's most important Hindu temple complex and one of the most signigificant pilgrimage sites for Hindus around the world.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

The historic royal palace complex contains temples, courtyards, traditional architecture and important monuments reflecting Nepal's artistic and cultural heritage.

Your guide will provide explanations about Nepalese history, Hinduism, Buddhism, architecture and local traditions throughout the day.

Day 3 : Kathmandu to Chitwan

After breakast, drive from kathmandu towards Chitwan.

The journey gradually descends from the Kathmandu Valley through green hills and river valleys before reaching the subtropical Terai region.

Upon arrival in Chitwan, check the season and local conditions, you can enjoy a village walk, sunset observation or a short nture activity.

In the evening,experience a traditional Tharu cultural performance and learn about the history and traditions of the indigenous Tharu community.

Driving : Approximately 5-6 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions

Day 4 : Chitwan National Park - Jungle Activities

Today is dedicated to exploring Chitwan National Park and its surrounding environment.

Visit to a local Tharu village

Visit to the elephant breeding center, subject to current operating conditions

Chitwan National Park is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife. During your activities, you may encounter one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles and numerous species of birds.

With luck and suitable conditions, you may also have the opportunity to observe other rare wildlife.

Day 5 : Chitwan - Nature and Wildlife Experience

Continue exploring the natural environment of Chitwan.

An early morning activity provides excellent opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife observation, as the forest becomes particularly active during the cooler hours.

After breakfast, enjoy further jungle activities or a canoe trip along one of the park's rivers, depending on the season and local regulations.

The afternoon can be used for relaxation at the resort or additional nature activities.

Your guide will also explain the ecosystem of Chitwan, conservation efforts and the importance of protecting Nepal's wildlife and forests.

Day 6 : Chitwan to Pokhara

In the evening, you can relax beside Phewa Lake and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
